PEEK GF30

PEEK GF30 is a 30% glass fiber reinforced high-performance polymer that offers significantly higher stiffness and creep resistance than unfilled PEEK. By incorporating glass fibers, the material's thermal expansion is drastically reduced, and its heat deflection temperature is significantly increased, making it ideal for structural applications under heavy loads at high temperatures. Jucheng Precision excels in the CNC machining of this abrasive material, utilizing specialized diamond-coated tooling and rigid 5-axis setups. We deliver precision-engineered PEEK GF30 components for the aerospace, industrial, and energy sectors, ensuring exceptional dimensional stability and mechanical reliability.

PEEK GF30 Machining Capabilities

Capacité Description technique Avantage Jucheng
Fraisage résistant à l'abrasion PEEK GF30 is highly abrasive to tools. We use specialized diamond-coated (CVD) or sub-micrograin carbide cutters to maintain edge sharpness. Our tooling strategy ensures consistent tolerances across long production runs, preventing the “size drift” common when glass fibers wear down standard tools.
Tight-Tolerance Machining Achieving +/- 0.02mm tolerances on rigid structural housings and connectors. The added glass fiber reduces thermal expansion, allowing us to hold tighter dimensions than virgin PEEK, even in varying workshop temperatures.
5-Axis Structural Milling Machining complex aerospace brackets and engine-zone insulators with intricate geometries. Our rigid Haas/Mazak machines handle the high-modulus material with zero vibration, delivering superior surface integrity and crisp features.
Deburring & Edge Finishing Cryogenic deburring and manual micro-deburring under high magnification. Glass-filled plastics produce stubborn burrs. Jucheng ensures every part is 100% burr-free, essential for high-voltage and aerospace safety.

Fabrication Guidelines for PEEK GF30

Gestion de l'usure des outils :
The 30% glass fiber content is extremely abrasive. Conseil : We monitor tool life strictly and use automated tool-length sensors to compensate for wear, ensuring every part in the batch is identical.

Fiber Orientation Awareness:
The strength of GF30 is non-isotropic (stronger along the fiber direction). Conseil : We source high-quality extruded stock with uniform fiber distribution to prevent warping and ensure predictable mechanical strength.

Surface Finish Limitations:
Due to the glass fibers, GF30 will not achieve the same “mirror” finish as virgin PEEK. Conseil : It naturally produces a matte finish. If a smoother surface is required, we can perform specialized buffing, though the matte look is standard for this grade.

Stratégie de refroidissement :
Water-based flood coolant is used to wash away abrasive glass dust and keep the cutting zone cool, preventing tool overheating and material discoloration.
