Wire EDM machining for custom components
Wire EDM services use a controlled electrical discharge process to cut conductive workpieces along a programmed contour. The method can be considered for profiles, slots or features where the drawing and material suit the process. Jucheng provides machining for customer parts and does not sell EDM equipment.
Define the part before requesting a quote
Provide the current drawing and model when available. Identify the material grade, thickness, quantity, cut profile, critical dimensions and any start holes or access features. State which dimensions are function-critical and how they relate to datums. If the part has multiple revisions, mark the revision that should be priced.
Clarify edge and acceptance requirements
State any edge condition, surface or burr requirements that matter to the assembly. Identify inspection points, report format if needed, packaging and delivery destination. If a secondary operation follows the wire cut, show where it begins and confirm whether it is part of the quote.
Questions to resolve during drawing review
- Is the specified material conductive and identified by grade?
- Are contour, thickness and critical dimensions clear?
- Are start holes or access conditions shown where needed?
- Are edge, finishing and inspection expectations documented?
- Does the quotation include all secondary operations and delivery assumptions?
For a process-focused explanation, see wire-cut EDM services. If the geometry is better suited to milling, compare the scope on our CNC milling page.
Request a machining quote
Submit the drawing, material, quantity, critical dimensions, edge requirements and inspection expectations. The team can review the specified scope and identify questions that need resolution before a price is confirmed.
