Prototype learning must become controlled requirements
A prototype can uncover fit, assembly or design issues, but a successful sample does not automatically qualify a production run. Before moving to repeat parts, document the approved model and drawing revision, material, critical dimensions, finish and inspection plan.
For a prototype service overview, see prototypage rapide CNC. For planning a limited run, read la planification de la production CNC en petite série. This page focuses on transferring learning and control from sample to repeat order.
Close the loop after evaluation
- Record which prototype revision was tested and what changed afterward.
- Approve the production model and drawing and state which document controls.
- Confirm material, finish, secondary operations and inspection records.
- Separate validated requirements from items still under review.
- Share expected quantities and delivery destinations for planning.
If a prototype used substitute material or unfinished surfaces, list the difference from the expected repeat part. Do not assume the sample proves production performance outside the conditions actually tested.
Request a repeat-build scope review
Send the approved files, quantity expectations, material and acceptance requirements. We review the machining scope and identify unresolved details before quoting the next run.
