Match the manufacturer to the part
A custom machining manufacturer should be evaluated against the drawing, material, quantity and acceptance requirements. A general company description does not prove experience in a specific industry or capability for a particular part. Confirm the entity and site that will perform the work.
Review process and evidence
Ask how the supplier will route the part, control revisions and inspect critical features. Identify outside operations and the records they provide. Request relevant evidence that can be verified for the quoted site and work scope.
- Provide controlled design files and material requirements.
- Confirm manufacturing address and operation scope.
- Review inspection methods and reports.
- Check change, nonconformance and record-retention practices.
- Compare quote assumptions for quantity, finish and packaging.
Check claims before relying on them
Certifications, industry experience, capacity and delivery schedules need current, scope-specific evidence. Do not infer them from general marketing copy. Confirm customer approvals separately when a program requires them.
For OEM work scope, see OEM-CNC-Bearbeitungsdienste. Für vertragliche Verantwortlichkeiten siehe kundenspezifische Auftragsfertigung.
Document the selection
Record approved entity, site, drawing revision, quote assumptions and open conditions. Reassess after a material, site or process change.
