Use a controlled RFQ
Provide the same drawing revision, model, material, quantity, finish and acceptance criteria to each provider. Ask each one to list included machining, outside operations, inspection records and exclusions.
Verify the work and contract details
Identify the legal entity issuing the quote and confirm the location of the operations it covers. If another party performs finishing or inspection, clarify who coordinates it and who is accountable for the handoff.
Review evidence requirements
State any required material documents, inspection reports or certifications. Request current evidence and confirm that it applies to the relevant company, site and work scope.
Compare logistics and changes
Confirm packaging, shipping terms, export paperwork and destination responsibilities. Agree how drawing revisions, material substitutions and schedule updates will be approved and recorded.
