Brass C36000

As the benchmark for machinability of all metals, C36000 free-machining brass holds an irreplaceable position in the field of precision manufacturing. This alloy achieves near-perfect chip-breaking performance through precise control of lead content, allowing CNC machines to operate at extremely high cutting speeds without sacrificing surface quality. At Jucheng Precision, we fully leverage the material advantages of C36000, using multi-axis Swiss-type lathes and high-volume automated feeding systems to provide global customers with high-precision threaded inserts, fluid fittings, and electronic connector assemblies. Whether pursuing ultimate production efficiency or requiring complex micron-level details, C36000 is the optimal metal solution for achieving a balance between cost-effectiveness and superior quality.

C36000 Machining Capabilities

Capability Technical Description Jucheng Advantage
High-Speed Automated Turning C36000 defines the 100% machinability standard. We run multi-axis Swiss lathes at maximum RPMs for rapid production. Our bar-fed automated lines produce thousands of brass fittings daily with extremely low cycle times and competitive pricing.
Precision Knurling & Threading Creating crisp diamond or straight knurls and high-tolerance internal/external threads (Class 3/6H). We achieve burr-free threads and sharp knurl peaks, essential for press-fit inserts and tactile adjustment knobs.
Complex Mill-Turn Features Using live-tooling lathes to add hex flats, cross-holes, and slots in a single operation. Ensures perfect concentricity between the turned body and milled features, critical for fluid valve components.
Cosmetic Polishing Mechanical buffing to enhance the natural golden luster for visible consumer components. We deliver “jewelry-grade” surface finishes for luxury hardware and high-end electronic interfaces.

Fabrication Guidelines for C36000 Brass

Superior Chip Control:
Thanks to its high lead content, C36000 produces tiny, granular chips that break away instantly. Tip: This prevents “bird-nesting” around tools, allowing for uninterrupted high-volume production runs.

Soft Material Handling:
Brass is significantly softer than steel and susceptible to surface marking. Tip: We use sub-spindles with soft-jaws and nylon collets to prevent marring or denting the finished parts during ejection.

Corrosion & Oxidation:
C36000 offers excellent corrosion resistance in water and oil. However, it will naturally tarnish (oxidize) over time. Tip: We offer clear coating or Nickel/Chrome plating if a permanent bright finish is required.

Thermal Expansion:
Brass expands more than steel when heated. Tip: During high-speed machining, we use flood coolant to maintain a stable temperature, ensuring dimensional fidelity across the entire batch.
