Virgin PEEK (Ungefüllt)

Virgin PEEK (Unfilled) is the premier high-performance thermoplastic for critical engineering applications. It offers a unique combination of exceptional chemical resistance, high-temperature stability, and mechanical strength comparable to some metals. Its inherent biocompatibility and radiolucency make it the industry standard for medical implants. At Jucheng Precision, we specialize in the precision CNC machining of Virgin PEEK under strict ISO 13485 protocols. By utilizing advanced annealing techniques and high-speed 5-axis milling, we deliver complex PEEK components with tight tolerances and superior surface finishes for the medical, aerospace, and semiconductor sectors.

Virgin PEEK Machining Capabilities

Kapazität Technische Beschreibung Jucheng-Vorteil
Spannungsfreie Zerspanung Implementing in-process annealing cycles to relieve internal stresses caused by material removal. Prevents Virgin PEEK parts from warping or dimensional shifting over time, ensuring long-term precision for medical implants.
High-Precision Micro-Milling Milling tiny, intricate features such as 0.3mm holes and micro-fluidic channels. Our high-speed 5-axis machines achieve burr-free edges on delicate PEEK components, eliminating the need for manual deburring.
Langdrehen im Schweizer Stil Turning small-diameter dental implants and bone screws with high-precision thread whirling. We hold ISO 13485 certification, guaranteeing contamination-free production and full traceability for all medical-grade PEEK parts.
Oberflächenglättung Achieving Ra 0.4μm surface finishes through optimized tool paths and fine-grain carbide tooling. Critical for sealing surfaces in analytical instruments and smooth contact faces in orthopedic devices.

Fabrication Guidelines for Virgin PEEK

Thermal Management:
PEEK has low thermal conductivity. Heat generated during cutting stays in the part. Tipp: We use sharp tools and high-flow clean coolant (or air blast) to prevent the plastic from softening or expanding during the cut.

Anforderungen an das Tempern:
To achieve tight tolerances, we recommend rough machining, followed by a secondary annealing cycle, and then final finishing. Tipp: This is essential for large PEEK parts to ensure they remain dimensionally stable throughout their service life.

Werkzeugauswahl:
Virgin PEEK is not as abrasive as filled grades, but it is hard. Tipp: We use polished, high-rake carbide tools to slice the material cleanly, preventing the “smearing” effect that ruins surface quality.

Spannstrategie:
While hard, PEEK is still a plastic. Tipp: We use vacuum tables or soft-jaws with regulated pressure to hold delicate parts securely without leaving clamp marks or distorting the geometry.

Hauptanwendungen

Medizinische Implantate (ISO 13485)
Spinal cages, suture anchors, and dental implants. Virgin PEEK is biocompatible, radiolucent, and has a bone-like modulus.

Luft- und Raumfahrt & Aviation
Connectors, bushings, and manifolds where weight reduction and high-temperature resistance (up to 250°C) are required.

Analytical Instrumentation
Fluidic manifolds, rotor valves, and HPLC components requiring extreme chemical resistance to solvents and acids.

Halbleiterausrüstung
Wafer handling tools and vacuum wand tips that require high purity, low outgassing, and excellent dielectric properties.
